Database Administrators ensure performance, integrity, and security of databases. They are also responsible for reporting, integrating with other applications, and making sure of the integrity and accuracy of data across multiple systems.

Database is a basic thing like a hard drive with a bunch of information that has relationship with each other. The information is not limited into a particular kind as it can be information of any kind.

It is a bunch of code that is made up by using the store procedure which is one way which done by code or program. It is the back end of any piece of software that is runs that requires a database. It means having a database will require having knowledge about programming.

Database Administrators work with developers or system engineers to integrate those databases. Since database does most of the work in the information systems that we use every day, database administrators ensure the stability and performance of those databases.

Skilled Database Administrators are in high demand, but can be hard for employers to find. This is good news for those interested in a career as a Database Administrator.

The responsibility of a Database Administrator is similar to that of a system administrator but the difference manifest because of the nature of how database works.

They are responsible for the server that runs a database; they are also responsible for the performance of the database; responsible for handling the backups and recovery plans for the database (this may require working with the IT team of the company and requires having a recovery plan at hand in case something goes wrong); responsible for updating the database software just like Microsoft; Installing new applications because essentially that is what is running on the database; Responsible for designing the database infrastructure by figuring, designing how the database infrastructure is going to work, how many servers do they need; security of the databases; giving the proper people in the organisation the correct permission to access the database and these persons are not just regular people in the organisation but persons from the IT department, digital department and so on; migrating database to a new hardware or between server; they create reports requested from different departments within the organisation; create new databases.
